Terms of Service
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Short version
By using diff you agree to these terms. You choose the pages, so you are responsible for them and for how you use diff. Don’t use it to break the law, to get into things you aren’t allowed to access, or to run automated traffic through it. diff is provided as it is, with no guarantees.
1. Agreeing to these terms
These terms apply to your use of the diff website at diff-my.site and the diff service (together, “diff”). By using diff you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use diff.
2. What diff does
diff fetches two web pages that you choose and shows them side by side so you can compare them. It acts on your instructions. It doesn’t host, review, edit, endorse or keep the pages it shows.
3. You are responsible for what you enter
You are solely responsible for every address you enter, every page you load through diff, and everything you do with them. You confirm that you have the right to access and view those pages and that your use complies with the law and with the terms of the websites involved. diff is not responsible for the addresses you use, what they contain, or any action you take or consequence that follows.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use diff to:
- break any law, or help anyone else to;
- access, probe, scan, attack or overload any website, system or network you are not authorised to test;
- use scripts, bots, crawlers or other automated means to reach diff or the pages it fetches, or use diff as a general-purpose proxy, anonymiser or relay for other software or people;
- get around, disable or interfere with the bot check, rate limits, or any other protection, in diff or in a site;
- try to reach private, internal or local network addresses, or diff’s own servers and infrastructure;
- get around paywalls, logins or other access controls, or access content you have no right to see;
- distribute malware, run phishing, or present someone else’s page as if it were yours or diff’s;
- infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights, or harass anyone;
- watch or listen to video, music or live streams, or reach streaming, adult or piracy sites: diff compares pages and refuses media, and may turn away any page it judges to break these terms;
- interfere with diff or other people’s use of it.
5. Third-party pages and your safety
Pages shown through diff belong to other people and may be inaccurate, offensive, unsafe or malicious. They run their own scripts in your browser. Use diff at your own risk. Don’t sign in to accounts, enter passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in a previewed page. Anything you submit there passes through diff’s servers on its way to the website.
6. Availability and limits
diff may limit how much it can be used, change or remove features, or be unavailable at any time, with or without notice. We may block access for anyone who we believe breaks these terms or puts the service or others at risk.
7. No warranty
diff is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, including that diff will be accurate, complete, secure, error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your purpose. A comparison is a convenience, not advice, and may miss or misreport differences.
8. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage of any kind arising from your use of diff or from the addresses you enter, the pages you view, or your actions, including indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or claims by third parties. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t lawfully be limited, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Your responsibility to us
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover us for claims, losses and costs that arise from your breach of these terms or from how you use diff, including the addresses you enter.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and continuing to use diff after a change means you accept it.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
